Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Hall of Famer Matt Hughes recently suffered a terrible accident. While crossing railroad tracks, the fighter’s truck was truck by a train on the passenger side. Hughes was airlifted to a nearby hospital, with the fighter then entering a coma. Now, it would appear that the fighter’s health is improving.
The Journal News has reported that Matt Hughes is now off of his ventilator.
As reported by The Journal News, “Patton also gave an update on Hughes’ condition. He stated Matt’s eyes were fully open and he was able to make a sweeping motion with his hand. He could push his foot in response to questions, and was able to acknowledge others present in the room by moving his eyes. He is off the ventilator.”
