It’s On! D.C. Wastes No Time, Hits The Scales First, Makes Championship Weight

Tomorrow’s UFC 214 event is by all accounts the best fight card of 2107. And it’s been a long 2017 full of nothing really notable in our sport.

Saturday in Anaheim, promises to be different. With the return of Jon Jones underway, and two more title fights, fight fans in Anaheim are about to witness an extraordinary display of Mixed Martial Arts action.

Despite the multiple stars fighting for the UFC tomorrow night, all eyes have remained on UFC light-heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier’s weight cut, who just last night had 7.5 pounds to go to make championship weight.

In new weigh-ins rules fashion, the scales opened up at 9 a.m. PT, and D.C. was the first to hit the scales, making the championship weight of 205 pounds, and making his title fight with Jon Jones official in the process.
