‘Jon Jones Can’t Beat Me Unless He Takes PEDs’

UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier does not believe former champion Jon Jones can beat him without using performance-enhancing drugs.

In a recent interview, Cormier claimed Jones was using PED’s the first time the two fought. In Jan. 2015, Jones defended his title by winning a decision against Cormier.

Now, the two will fight again this Saturday. At UFC 214, Cormier will defend his title against Jones in the main event.

“What I do enjoy is seeing him watching me. I love that he is taking (the time). It’s not like he’s just somebody saying ‘hey look at Daniel’s Instagram’, he’s on there every day. He needs to see what I’m doing because his mind is telling him ‘can I really do what I did in January without the help of the performance enhancers?’ That he’s been using his entire career,” Cormier said.

“He can’t do it and USADA will make sure he is clean when steps into the Octagon. He knows he can’t out compete me in a fair circumstance and on Saturday I’m going to show that.”

UFC 214 will take place July 29 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
