UFC 213 suffered a heavy hit last night when the mixed martial arts promotion’s main event was suddenly scrapped. Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes was initially set to face off against former opponent and rising challenger Valentina Shevchenko for the title. However, Amanda Nunes pulled out of the event with only hours to spare.
Now it would appear that the anticipated bantamweight title fight rematch has a new date in mind.
UFC 215 is set to go down September 9 in Edmonton, Canada. Now, it would appear that Amanda Nunes vs. Valentina Shevchenko is being considered for the event. However, UFC President Dana White recently revealed that Amanda Nunes will not be headlining an event any time soon.
Good news for the Edmonton card if Nunes/Shevchenko is the co-main https://t.co/Ty4QaTYj7z
