UFC heavyweight contender Alistair Overeem was the highest paid fighter on Saturday night.
The UFC’s annual International Fight Week came to a conclusion with UFC 213 on July 8.
MMAjunkie received information from the Nevada State Athletic Commission revealing how much the fighters competing on the UFC 213 pay-per-view main card earned for their performance.
Overeem was paid the highest out of the 10 fighters who competed on the pay-per-view. Overeem earned $800,000, which is double what the second highest earner received. On Saturday, Overeem earned a controversial majority decision win over Fabricio Werdum.
In the main event, Robert Whittaker defeated Yoel Romero to become the interim champion in the middleweight division.
