UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor had an embarrassing moment during one of last week’s press conferences.
Last week, McGregor and Floyd “Money” Mayweather traveled to four different cities, in three different countries, in a four-day period to promote their upcoming boxing match.
During their third press conference in Brooklyn, New York, McGregor embarrassed himself while insulting Mayweather on the microphone.
While trash talking Mayweather, McGregor tried to slap Mayweather’s hat off of his head. But when McGregor’s hand touched Mayweather’s hat, it barely moved an inch.
Right after McGregor slapped Mayweather’s hat, the boxing legend slightly readjusted his hat back in place as if nothing happened.
In the video below, you can watch McGregor’s awkward moment during the press conference at the Barclays Center.
McGregor will be making his professional boxing debut when he fights Mayweather next month. Mayweather has not fought in almost two years and will be putting his perfect boxing record of 49-0 on the line.
Mayweather vs. McGregor takes place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
