Former boxing champion Paulie Malignaggi has revealed more information about his sparring sessions with UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.
Malignaggi was brought to Las Vegas to help McGregor prepare for his first professional boxing match later this month.
Malignaggi has left McGregor’s training camp due to leaked photos of the two sparring. In the photos, McGregor is seen landing blows on Malignaggi. One photo shows Malignaggi on his back with McGregor standing over him.
On Friday, Malignaggi said on Twitter that McGregor pushed him to the ground out of frustration.
“I pretty much talked shit that whole sparring session while I beat the breaks off him, the push down was his frustration from it,” Malignaggi said.
McGregor will make his professional boxing debut on Aug. 26. He is scheduled to fight boxing legend Floyd “Money” Mayweather at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
