Former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael dos Anjos has called out current UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.
After McGregor lost to Floyd “Money” Mayweather in the professional boxing debut, Dos Anjos sent out a message towards McGregor on his Facebook page.
“If you are not running away from the game, we still have unfinished business! You got lucky that I got hurt,” Dos Anjos wrote. “This chicken heart was lucky that my foot was broken!! We have unfinished business to solve.”
Dos Anjos was scheduled to defend his lightweight title against McGregor at UFC 196 back in March 2016, but an injury forced Dos Anjos to withdraw from the fight.
After that, Dos Anjos lost the title to Eddie Alvarez and lost a decision to Tony Ferguson. Dos Anjos then moved to the welterweight division. He is currently coming off a decision win over Tarrec Safiedine.
In his last MMA fight, McGregor won the UFC title by knocking out Alvarez. In his fight with Mayweather, McGregor managed to win some of the early rounds but was finished in the 10th round by TKO.
