Following his unanimous decision win, Pettis has a strong claim to being next in line for a flyweight title shot.

At UFC 215, on Sept. 9, UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson will defend his title against Ray Borg. The winner of that fight should expect to meet Pettis in their next title defense.
