Despite the forecasts and predictions of a new PPV record, it appears as if last weekend’s Mayweather vs. McGregor bout fell short of the mark.
Floyd was competing against himself last Saturday night, tying to outdo his prior record breaking pay-per-view with Manny Pacquiao.
When Mayweather vs. Pacquiao went down, 4.6 million people bought the pay-per-view, making it the most successful pay-per-view in sporting history.
Promoters from both side of MayMac were expecting to crush these numbers, in fact, Conor’s ambitions of breaking $100 Million in paydays was also dependent on breaking this number.
Reliable MMA reporter, Jedi Goodman is now reporting that his sources are telling him that Saturday’s fight fell short.
Bummer:
From WON, from their sources, early indications are that #maymac did not beat May/Pac's 4.6m North American figure.
