UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic is once again calling out boxing heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
This week, former boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko retired from the sport of boxing. Klitschko was scheduled to fight Joshua in a rematch from their fight early this year.
With Joshua no longer having an opponent, Miocic has decided to once again challenge him to a fight.
“Looks like your schedule is wide open. No excuses, let’s dance! #BaddestManOnThePlanet,” Miocic said in a tweet directed at Joshua.
As of right now, there isn’t a clear top contender for Miocic’s heavyweight title. Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez is suffering from a back injury, and Miocic has victories over the other top contenders in the division.
With a win at UFC 215, Francis Ngannou would have a strong claim to a title shot if he defeats former UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior dos Santos. But if Ngannou loses, there will continue not to be a clear top contender for the UFC heavyweight title.
. @anthonyfjoshua looks like your schedule is wide open. No excuses, let's dance! #BaddestManOnThePlanet
