The UFC’s First Ever 40-Year Old Female Fighter Fights This Weekend

The UFC will have a 40-year-old woman compete inside the Octagon for the first time this weekend.

On Saturday, Marion Reneau will fight at a UFC Fight Night event in Rotterdam. This will be her first fight since turning 40.

Despite her age, Reneau is one of the top 135-pound female fighters in the UFC. In her last fight, she fought former title challenger Bethe Correia to a draw. Her UFC career is highlighted by a submission win over former title challenger Jessica Andrade.

Reneau was scheduled to fight former UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Germaine de Randamie on Saturday, but an injury forced De Randamie to withdraw from the fight.

Reneau is now scheduled to fight UFC newcomer Talita Bernardo, who has a 5-1 MMA record and is on a four-fight win streak.

This Saturday’s UFC Fight Night will be headlined by a heavyweight battle featuring Stefan Struve and Alexander Volkov.
