UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor and Floyd “Money” Mayweather have been the most tested athletes in the world as they prepare for their upcoming fight.
According to Jeff Novitzky, the UFC Vice President of Athlete Health and Performance, both Mayweather and McGregor have been tested a combined 26 times in less than two months by the U.S Anti-Doping Agency (USADA).
“Since July 1, they’ve each had 13 samples tested,” Novitzky said during a media scrum on Tuesday.
“They are without a doubt the most tested athletes on the planet in the last month and a half.”
Mayweather has not competed in the sport of boxing in almost two years. He is returning to the sport to compete in one of the biggest fights in combat sports history.
McGregor will make his professional boxing debut when he steps into the ring with Mayweather.
Mayweather vs. McGregor will take place Aug. 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
