Following Tim Hagues Death In Canada, UFC 215 Fighters Forced To Sign Scary Waiver

As we ready for tonight’s UFC 215 event, scary details about the Edmonton Athletic Commission are coming out, and it’s not all that cool.

Amanda Nunes will rematch Valentina Shevchenko in tonight’s main event for the UFC female bantamweight world title, live on pay-per-view.

The night’s card marks one of the most stacked events of 2017, and not that that’s saying much after what has been the worst year for the UFC in over a decade. But, still, based on the current standards of a UFC fight night, this card ranks up there.

The Canadian commission though, is currently under the microscope regarding fighter safety and accountability, ever since we lost one of our own in Tim Hague earlier this year, due to what can only be described as negligence on the commission’s part.

Now, as part of their fighter licensing procedure, the commission is requiring the UFC athletes to basically sign away their rights, and life, in order to compete in the Octagon this evening.

To avoid any damages against themselves, the commission has made the fighters sign a waiver, waiving their rights to take any course of action against Canada for negligence.

Pretty sh*tty!
