Despite being told to evacuate, UFC strawweight Angela Magana is staying in Puerto Rico during Hurricane Irma.
On Tuesday, Magana tweeted that police were knocking at her door to help evacuate people, but the UFC fighter is refusing to leave.
“There are millions in #PuertoRico who dont have the luxury to #evacuate the #island. I don’t jump ship.#loyal,” Magana wrote on Twitter.
Hurricane Irma is expected to hit Puerto Rico as early as Wednesday. The hurricane has potential to do record setting damage to the island.
Magana says she is going to stay on the Island during the hurricane and will give updates as long as her cell phone has service. Magana gave an update on her status as of Wednesday morning.
“Good as of now ill keep checking in as long as I have service! I have the walkie talkie app same username here. Find me if I disappear,” Magana said on Twitter.
