Sports Illustrated recently discussed former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones recent issues with performance-enhancing drugs.
After failing another drug test by the U.S Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), Maggie Gray and Robin Lundberg, of Sports Illustrated, said Jones should be banned from the UFC.
However, even though they think he shouldn’t be allowed to compete inside the Octagon, they also said they still want to see him fight former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar.
Gray and Lundberg suggested that Jones and Lesnar take a page from the sport of boxing’s playbook and should put on their own fight without the help of any MMA promotion. They also said Jones and Lesnar do not need the UFC in order to make money from their fight.
