Bruce Buffer and Vitor Belfort go way back . . . Like Way, WAAAY back!
All the way back to the UFC’s very first trip to Brazil, where Vitor Belfort did his best to break and keep the UFC’s fastest knockout record on the chin of Wanderlei Silva.
It was a moment that will live in UFC highlights for years to come.
Fast forwards nearly 20-years later and the UFC has now seen two owner changes, commentator shifts and countless title reigns come and go. But these two, Vitor Belfort and Bruce Buffer, are still going strong.
Here’s Buffer’s throwback:
TY @VitorBelfort for this very cool video memory of my 1st @UFC in Brazil in São Paulo in 1998 announcing you & @wandfc in the #UFC Octagon to the world for the first time as you shocked the world that night! LOL as my announcing style has changed a bit since these early historic days of the UFC #BUFFLIFE
Vitor Belfort announced this week that he will return to action in the UFC’s middleweight division against Uriah Hall, this upcoming January.
