It would appear that Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt is getting ready for more than a title defense. Now the champion is expecting his first child.
Cody Garbrandt recently took to Instagram to announce that his wife and himself are expecting their first child. As the image in the post suggests, the baby is due in March.
Here is what Cody Garbrandt had to say:
“My wife and I are excited to announce that we’re expecting the biggest blessing of our lives!! Can’t wait to start this next chapter with you”
Cody Garbrandt will be looking to defend his title from heated rival and former teammate T.J. Dillashaw in the co-main event of UFC 217. The fight goes down Nov. 4 inside the Madison Square Garden Arena in New York.
The fight will be Garbrandt’s first title defense, as the fighter earned his belt with a dominant unanimous decision defeat over Dominick Cruz at UFC 207.
