UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping is set to welcome Georges St-Pierre back inside the octagon at UFC 217. Having not competed in nearly four years, St-Pierre is making a move up from his tradition welterweight class to take on “The Count.”
With UFC 217 drawing closer, the two fighters have been going at it with their trash-talk. During the UFC 217 pre-fight press conference in Toronto, Michael Bisping criticized his opponent for having a tendency to use his wrestling to “hide from fighting.” Now another prominent member of the MMA community has decided to come forward and give their thoughts on Bisping’s recent comment.
SBG Ireland head coach and coach to UFC superstar Conor McGregor, John Kavanagh recently took to Twitter to comment on Bisping’s statement. Here is what the head coach had to say:
“If only there was a combat sport which focused on striking only. We could call it boxkicking.”
