UFC featherweight Cody Stamann put on a war against Tom Duquesnoy at UFC 216 just two weeks ago. While Stamann may have gotten the victory, the fighter was not entirely pleased with how the night went. Specifically, Stamann had an issue with cageside commentators Joe Rogan and Daniel Cormier.
During the match, Cormier and Rogan focused much of their attention on Duquesnoy. Yet, Stamann would ultimately come out on top with the decision. The fighter later expressed his displeasure with the apparent biased commentary of the night. Well, now it would appear that Daniel Cormier has provided a response.
Taking to Twitter, the UFC light heavyweight champion expressed his apology.
“I apologize!!!!”
@CodyStamann I apologize!!!!

Stamann would go on to make amends with the champion by stating:
“That wasn’t necessary but appreciated. Big fan of yours. Pretty cool to hear you guys call my fight.”

Cormier then offered one last piece of opinion to the fighter.
“It’s all good my man I respect ur gripe. U fought a tremendous fight. And got better as fight went on. Ur a stud!!!”
