Ever since Conor McGregor’s TKO loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr., fans have been patiently waiting to hear what is next for the UFC megastar.
Newly crowned interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson called out “Notorious” directly after submitting Kevin Lee at last weekend’s UFC 216.
“Where you at McNuggets, ya f**king piece of s**t,” Ferguson said following his victory over Kevin Lee at UFC 216. “I’m gonna kick your ass. You better come and f**king defend that belt. Defend or vacate, motherf**ker.”
Following the call out, a set of cryptic tweets were released by McGregor and his head coach concerning “El Cucuy.” Now it would appear that the two fighters are on a collision course.
Taking to Twitter after Ferguson’s title earning win, Conor McGregor offered a one word message. Alongside a photoshopped image of fictional film character Tony Montana, McGregor stated “Tony.”

Traditionally, SBG Ireland head coach John Kavanagh has always messaged “Here we go” on social media ahead of McGregor’s next big fight reveal. Sure enough, Kavanagh let the message fly.

Now it would appear that “El Cucuy” has offered a response of his own to McGregor seemingly painting a target on his back. Taking to Twitter, Ferguson said “Zero F**ks. This is my mat.” to the reigning lightweight champion.
Alongside the message, Tony Ferguson offered a few photoshopped images of his own. In the short montage of images, the theme song of the classic film Scarface can be heard.
