Dana White Explains Why Las Vegas Shooting Was Exceptionally Personal For Him

Many are still stunned by the terrible tragedy of Sunday night’s mass shooting in Las Vegas, Nev. People are taking to social media or any platform where their voices can be heard to express their heavy hearts following the attack.

eNow UFC President Dana White has come forward to explain why the mass shooting was so personal for him.

Country music fans were joining in the thousands for Jason Aldean’s headlined 91 Harvest Music Festival on Sunday night, just across the street from the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Tragedy then struck as a gunman opened fire on the unsuspecting crowd from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay resort.

The mass shooting has now become the worst in modern U.S. history, with a reported 59 dead and 527 injured. In an interview with TMZ Sports, Dana White explained that the UFC would be providing $1 million to aid those suffering from the tragedy.

Here is what Dana White had to say:

“This is my city. This is my town. I grew up here. I raised my family here. All of my friends live here. This is where my business is.”
