Look, we aren’t going to sit here recapping everything that went on between Conor McGregor and Boxing’s Paulie Malignaggi.
If you don’t already know, welcome to planet earth, year 2017!
Recently though, Paulie did tell everyone who would listen that he is actively pursuing the boxing match against Conor McGregor. He told twitter, he told podcasts, he told everyone that his management and UFC president Dana White have started preliminary negotiations for the fight.
Now, in a new interview with retired UFC veteran Mike Swick, Dana implied that’s just not true, and he didn’t just stop there.
“Do you think people really want to see Conor McGregor vs. Paulie Malignaggi? People want to see Conor fight in MMA. That’s what they want to see…
“Paulie Malignaggi never said shit that isn’t true. [insert sarcasm]
“Let me ask you a question. Why did Paulie Malignaggi walk out of camp after two sparring sessions?
“Because it was the right fucking thing to do. Because he was going to get hurt. Because he was going to take damage that was going to affect him for the rest of his life that he didn’t need to fucking take.
“It’s nt like they were paying hm big money, or he had a big fight himself. PAulie Malignaggi got up and left camp, and he should have got up and fucking left camp, because Conor was going to fucking hurt him badly.
“Its a fucking fact. I was there. I watched the whole sparring session. That guy needed to go home and he needed to leave Las Vegas.”
