Grappling phenom Demian Maia is coming off of a tough loss to reigning UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. Maia took his shot at the title at UFC 214. The fighter went to war with Woodley, with the fight ultimately going the distance. In the end, Maia suffered a unanimous decision defeat to the champion.
Now Maia is looking to bounce back into the winning column as he takes on Colby Covington at tomorrow night’s UFC Fight Night 119. The event goes down Oct. 28 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The grappling phenom has been receiving some trash talking from his incipient opponent. Covington has gone on to claim that he is even looking past Maia for a fight with the champion. Now Demian Maia has come forward with a response to Covington’s heated trash talk.
