Former UFC Title Challenger Valentina Shevchenko: “Getting ready … 125”

UFC’s Valentina Shevchenko made a run for the bantamweight belt at UFC 215. Taking on reigning champion Amanda Nunes in a title fight rematch at UFC 215, “Bullet” suffered another loss to her rival.

In a controversial split decision, Shevchenko faced her second loss to Nunes. Now, it would appear that the fighter is looking to explore the UFC’s budding female flyweight division. Taking to Instagram, “Bullet” posted:

“Getting ready … 125 #UFCPerformanceInstitute #LasVegas #Nevada.”

In the post, Shevchenko offered a video of herself hitting the bag with the utmost intensity. Watch the former title contender put in a brutal workout in the video above.

Shevchenko made her intentions clear after her loss to Nunes that she planned on entering the UFC flyweight division. Now only time will tell when fight fans will be able to see the talented fighter compete at the new weight class.

Valentina Shevchenko is now 14-3 as a professional mixed martial artist. The fighter was on a two fight winning streak with wins over former champion Holly Holm and Julianna Pena, before being defeated by Amanda Nunes at UFC 215.
