During the event, the main card’s competitors got a chance to get face to face with their opponents. UFC strawweight contender “Thug” Rose Namajunas is riding an impressive submission win over Michelle Waterson at UFC on FOX 24. Now the contender has earned a shot at the title. Namajunas is set to take on UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk on the main card of Nov. 4’s UFC 217 pay-per-view event.
Namajunas and Jedrzejczyk met face to face for an intense staredown today at the pre-fight press conference. Jedrzejczyk approached her opponent and shoved her fist inches from the face of Namajunas. Still, “Thug” Namajunas did not move a muscle. Now the intense staredown can be seen in the replay below.
UFC 217 goes down Nov. 4 inside the Madison Square Garden Arena in New York and will be available on pay-per-view. The night’s preliminary card will be featured on FS1.
