The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is gearing up for another exciting night of fights. This time, the mixed martial arts promotion is preparing for a highly anticipated title fight between middleweight champion Michael Bisping and Georges St-Pierre. In anticipation for the exciting event, the UFC will be hosting the pre-fight press conference today.
Michael “The Count” Bisping earned the middleweight title with a vicious knockout win over Luke Rockhold last summer. Now Bisping will be making his second title defense against one of the UFC’s historically most dominant welterweights at UFC 217.
Georges St-Pierre retired from MMA as the UFC welterweight champion almost four years ago. Now “Rush” is returning to the octagon in a new division for a title fight against “The Count.” The two fighters will meet face to face today for the pre-fight press conference. The conference begins at 6:30 p.m. ET and a live stream of the conference can be found in the video below.
UFC 217 will feature two other exhilarating title fights. UFC bantamweight champion Cody “No Love” Garbrandt will be taking on former champion and heated rival T.J. Dillashaw in the night’s co-main event. Also on the main card, UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk will be looking to lock in another title defense as she takes on Rose Namajunas.
UFC 217 goes down Nov. 4 inside the Madison Square Garden Arena in New York. The night’s main event will be available on pay-per-view, while the prelim card will be featured on FS1.
