Former Ultimate Fighting Championship light heavyweight champion Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell has garnered a storied career in mixed martial arts. Much the same, Fedor “The Last Emperor” Emelianenko has become a fellow living legend in the sport of mixed martial arts.
Chuck Liddell has not competed inside the octagon since his knockout loss to Rich Franklin back in 2010. Still, many fight fans would love to see a return from one of MMA’s legends.
Of course, Fedor “The Last Emperor” Emelianenko is still going. The fighter most recently faced off against former UFC competitor Matt Mitrione in his Bellator MMA debut.
“The Last Emperor” suffered a first round TKO loss to his opponent. Still, the MMA legend is showing no signs of slowing down. Now, it would appear that one MMA industry member is ready to see the two legends of the sport throw down.
Head of Dominance MMA management, Ali Abdelaziz recently took to Twitter to ask Bellator MMA president Scott Coker to pull together an epic match up between “The Iceman” and “The Last Emperor.”
“Hello @ScottCoker please make @ChuckLiddell vs Fedor. I believe this is the money fight @arielhelwani” He stated.
A match up between the two fighters has not been revealed, but fight fans can continue to dream that these two giants of the sport may one day meet inside a cage.
