Former UFC bantamweight champion and MMA megastar Ronda Rousey has yet to officially retire from the sport of mixed martial arts.
Still, there are no signs that the former fighter will be making a return to the sport anytime soon. As a result, many fight fans have begun to speculate that Ronda Rousey will begin making a transition into other ventures. Among them, many are hopeful for Rousey to take hold in the WWE. Ronda’s teammates are very certain that she’ll do well in her transition to pro wrestling.
“Ronda’s a natural athlete,” Baszler said. “Just learning a different rule set and bringing what she has from MMA would be the same, does her judo translate to MMA, will her MMA translate to pro wrestling? She’s been pretty successful one way, and I think she’ll be pretty successful the other way.
“Ronda’s one of those people that when she learns something, she goes in hard. If she wants to pursue this, she should pursue this to where she would be one of the best, so we’ll see.”
Ronda Rousey has already been featured in a developing WWE storyline, leading many to believe that the pro-wrestling empire is planning more for the former UFC champion. Now, it would appear that Ronda Rousey has been called to a match at Wrestlemania 34.
WWE’s Charlotte Flair recently revealed that she hopes to see Ronda Rousey at Wrestlemania. In an interview with ESPN, Flair said ““I hopes so. I think it’s probably WWE’s decision and Ronda’s decision. I am all in.”
