Commentating is an important part of mixed martial arts. As an ever growing sport, commentators often help guide fans along with the technical aspect of the action. However, it would appear that a pair of color commentators for Russian promotion Fight Nights Global have made a rather controversial statement at a recent event.
UFC’s Angela Hill recently took to Twitter to reveal that a pair of commentators reported an act inside the cage as “boring and gay” during a Fight Nights Global event.
After putting on a battle, two fighters and their teams decided to join together in a show of respect. The act did not get the response that many were expecting.
In the video posted below, one commentator says:
“An attitude like this is considered as boring.”
To which the other man replies:
“Boring and gay. We have a different approach here in Russia.”
