Former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum earned a quick and dominant win at Saturday night’ UFC 216 pay-per-view event. With Derrick Lewis backing out of the fight on just hours notice, Werdum was set up to take on replacement fighter Walt Harris. Werdum made short work of Harris, submitting the fighter in under a minute. Now it would appear that within three days of his last fight, Werdum has already locked in his next octagon match up.
Brazilian media has reported that Mark Hunt will no longer be headlining UFC Fight Night’s immanent Sydney, Australia card. In his place, Fabricio Werdum will be taking on Marcin Tybura in the night’s main event.
Taking to Twitter, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) confirmed Fabricio Werdum will now be taking on Marcin Tybura. The two will throw down at UFC Fight Night: Werdum vs. Tybura on Nov. 18 in Sydney, Australia.
