20-years-and-one-day ago, the UFC wasn’t what it was now.
Back then there was hair pulling, strikes to the back of the head, low blows, head butts, and finger snaps all allowed inside the cage.
Back then the sport was banned in most states across the country, and banned from T.V. too.
It wasn’t until UFC president Dana White and his business partners the Fertitta Brothers bought the promotion for $1 Million, and transformed it into the sport we all love today.
Today marks the twenty-year annivesary of some very notable changes to the UFC rules most have grown accustomed to.
