The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is preparing for another exciting night of fights. This time, the mixed martial arts promotion is gearing up for UFC 217. The highly anticipated fight card goes down this Saturday, Nov. 4, inside the Madison Square Garden Arena in New York. The live pay-per-view event is set to feature three different title fights, making for one of the year’s most exciting events.
Former welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre is making his return to the octagon at a new weight class, after being away from mixed martial arts for nearly four years. In the night’s main event, St-Pierre will be challenging UFC middleweight champion Michael “The Count” Bisping for his title.
The night’s co-main event will see reigning UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt take on a former champion and a former teammate as he faced T.J. Dillashaw in a heated grudge match. Also on the night’s main card, UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk will be taking on tough contender “Thug” Rose Namajunas.
With the epic night of fight’s only days away, UFC analyst Dan Hardy has now offered a breakdown of Joanna Jedrzejczyk’s upcoming title defense and Cody Garbrandt’s grudge match with T.J. Dillashaw.
