Georges St-Pierre has not competed inside the octagon since 2013. After successfully defending his belt from Johny Hendricks with a close decision win, “Rush” decided to retire from the sport of mixed martial arts. Now almost four years since that momentous decision, St-Pierre has decided to return to the octagon.
Of course, the historically dominant welterweight champion will be returning at a new weight class. The fighter is set to take on UFC middleweight champion Michael “The Count” Bisping in the pay-per-view main event of UFC 217.
UFC 217 goes down Nov. 4 inside the Madison Square Garden Arena in New York. Bisping will be looking to make his second title defense as he welcomes St-Pierre back into the octagon.
