It would appear that Michael Bisping has some criticism concerning Anderson Silva’s recent drug test failure.
Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva was recently pulled from his main event match up against Kelvin Gastelum at UFC’s debut in Shanghai, China due to a failed USADA drug test. Of course, this was not the first failed drug test for “The Spider.”
Silva failed his first drug test back in 2015, as a result the fighter’s match up against Nick Diaz at UFC 183 was overturned to a no contest.
Speaking on the UFC Shanghai conference call, Bisping said:
“Well, he completely destroyed his legacy in my opinion. A lot of people have a short memory, and they’ll just remember his performances. His performances were great, but if you test positive for steroids twice? Once, you can talk your way out of it. Twice, I think the nail’s in the coffin.”
Continuing his thoughts, Bisping added:
“The guy was a cheat, and it’s a shame. It’s really disappointing. I was a huge fan of Anderson Silva. It’s just disappointing and it’s a black eye to the sport of MMA.”
