It would appear that the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is now short one bantamweight competitor for one of the mixed martial arts promotion’s upcoming fight cards.
UFC Fight Night 123 is set to go down Dec. 9 in Fresno, Calif. In one of the night’s events, bantamweights Bryan Caraway and Luke Sanders were initially set to face off inside the octagon. However, as reported by MMA Junkie, Caraway has since been removed from the match up due to an injury.
Caraway has not competed inside the octagon since breaking up with former bantamweight champion and UFC superstar Miesha Tate. The fighter’s last performance was against Aljamain Sterling in May of 2016. The fight ended in a split decision victory for Caraway.
Now the UFC is on the prowl for a replacement opponent, as Luke Sanders hopes to land someone to face him inside the octagon.
