Colby Covington has been receiving some serious heat ever since he made his post-fight interview at UFC Fight Night 119 from Sao Paulo. After calling Brazil a “dump” and its people “filthy animals,” fighters and fight fans alike have been expressing their frustrations with the fighter.
Covington was recently in Australia to make fan appearances for UFC Fight Night 121. However, the fighter was sent home after having a physical altercation with former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum.
Now Covington has decided to break his social media silence by bringing up an entirely different matter.
UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley has been looking to lock down an exciting match up against lightweight superstar Nate Diaz as of late. Now Covington has come forward with his thoughts on the matter.
Taking to Twitter, Covington stated:
“Why is the #gossipgirl @TWooodley calling out a lightweight when the welterweight division has never been deeper… Oh yeah that’s right im next in line that’s why. @ufc @TMZ”
