UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier has only one loss on his professional mixed martial arts record, which is to Jon Jones. That being said, the two fighters had a chance to settle the score at UFC 214.
Coming off of a year long suspension due to a failed drug test, Jon Jones made his big octagon return in the main event of UFC 214. For the fight, the former champion went toe-to-toe with heated rival and reigning UFC light heavyweight title holder Daniel Cormier.
Jones earned a knockout victory over his opponent, but the win was short lived. Jones failed his USADA drug test for UFC 214, stripping the fighter of his title and turning the knockout win into a no contest.
Jones will now be facing up to a four year suspension for his most recent drug test failure. Speaking to TMZ Sports on the matter, Daniel Cormier revealed that he is willing to put his title on the line once again for a rematch with Jones.
“I would love for him to get another one year suspension, then we could fight again.” He said. For the full interview, check out the video below:
