As a mixed martial arts veteran, UFC superstar Nate Diaz has put on a storied career in the sport of mixed martial arts. The fighter has entered a heated rivalry with UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor. Diaz choked “Notorious” out at UFC 196, but McGregor earned a close majority decision victory over Diaz in their rematch at UFC 202. Now the fighters are 1-1 in their rivalry.
With Conor McGregor coming off of a TKO loss in his boxing debut, many fight fans have grown hopeful for a trilogy rematch between the two MMA warriors. However, nothing has yet to be announced.
Another exciting fight that has been bubbling in fight fans’ conversations is a possible match up between UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley and Nate Diaz. Woodley has gone on to call out the fighter, but Diaz has since declined the fight. It has since been revealed by Diaz’s camp that the fight was likely declined because the UFC was not willing to offer enough money for the match up.
Las Vegas Review Journal’s Adam Hill has now reported that UFC President Dana White recently explained that the UFC has been offering Diaz fights for the last year and a half. However, the promotion has not been able to come to terms with Diaz. White then said that Diaz has “turned down a fight with everyone on the roster.”
