Former UFC featherweight champion Germaine de Randamie has had a tough time as of late. After expressing an interest in getting hand surgery and returning to the bantamweight division, the fighter was stripped of her featherweight title. Since then, the fighter was allegedly set to face off against Ketlen Vieria in the bantamweight class. However the fight is now off, as de Randamie allegedly backed out of the fight. Now it would appear that simply may not have been the case.
Founder of management company SuckerPunchEnt, Brian Butler-Au recently took to social media to express his thoughts on the matter.
“For the record: all reports of @ironheart_mma “pulling out” of a fight with @ketlenvieiraufc are 100% false. That fight was never signed or agreed to because GDR was still in rehab for the hand surgery she had from last fight. #fakenews #mmanews”

The manager later went to Instagram to add:
“It’s ridiculous how rumors turn into “news”. @ironladymma did not pull out of any fight with @ketlenvieiraufc. GDR is still in rehab from the hand surgery she had stemming from the Holly fight… NO FIGHT WAS EVER SIGNED OR AGREED TO! #fakenews #stopthenonsense #mmanews”
