Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight contender Dustin Poirier was coming off of a tough no contest performance prior to Saturday night’s big event.

The fighter faced off against former champion Eddie Alvarez at UFC 211. Many fight fans believed the fighter was putting on a potentially winning performance over the former champion. But the fight faced a sudden end when an accidental illegal knee was thrown. As a result, the fight was turned to a no contest.

Poirier earned another shot at a former champion at Saturday’s, Nov. 11, UFC Fight Night 120. Headlining the event, the tough contender faced off against former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis.

The two fighters entered a bloody war, with each competitor suffering vicious cuts to their faces. In the end, Poirier earned a dazzling TKO victory over the former champion. Now the epic finish can be seen in the replay below.
