No longer “Joanna Champion”, Poland born fighter Joanna Jedrzejczyk is itching to get back what she just lost.

On the UFC 217 main card, Joanna would come to suffer a first round knockout loss to underdog, and new champion, “Thug” Rose Namajunas.

For her part, “Thug” Rose has publicly stated that the manner in which Joanna lost does not warrant an immediate rematch. But, for Joanna, having been just one win away from tying Ronda Rousey’s record, she believes her mark on the division is enough to get her next crack at the new champion.

And, if we’re to believe Jedrzejczyk, so does the UFC. Because, in a new interview (in Polish) with the Polish media, Joanna confirmed that she has talked to the UFC and they told her she’ll fight for the title next.
