The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) took to New York for tonight’s UFC 217. In the night’s main event, former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre made his big return to the octagon after nearly four years away from the sport.
The fighter moved up in weight class to challenge UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping for his title at tonight’s headliner. In the end, St-Pierre earned a dazzling finish over his opponent. Now the UFC has a new UFC middleweight champion.
Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones recently took to Twitter to offer his thoughts after the night of amazing fights.
Jones said, “It’s possible #UFC217.”

Of course, Jon Jones recently failed a drug test for UFC 214. The fighter faced off against heated rival and reigning light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier in the night’s main event, gaining a title earning knockout victory over the fighter. However, the victory was short lived. Jones was stripped of the title and his win over Cormier was overturned following the drug test failure.
As this is not Jones first failed drug test, the fighter could be facing a four year suspension for the test failure.
