Michael Bisping has been having a rough month in the world of mixed martial arts. “The Count” suffered a title ending loss to Georges St-Pierre inside the Madison Square Garden Arena at UFC 217. Just three weeks after being choked out for his middleweight title in New York, Bisping was inside the octagon in Shanghai, China.
Anderson Silva was initially set to headline the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s debut in Shanghai, China but was pulled from the event after being flagged by USADA for a failed drug test. On short notice, “The Count” stepped up to fill the empty main event slot.
For his opponent at UFC Fight Night 122 in Shanghai, China, Bisping went toe-to-toe with Kelvin Gastelum. However things ended quickly for “The Count,” as Gastelum put Bisping on a losing streak by knocking the fighter out in the first round.
Now Gastelum has gone to social media to share some respectful words over the former champion.
“Can’t express how much I respect and I admire you Mike #Legend” said Gastelum on his Twitter.
