One mixed martial artist decided to channel his inner WWE wrestler on Saturday night, Nov. 25.
The Absolute Championship Berkut hosted ACB 75 in Germany on Saturday with a series of mixed martial arts performances. Among them, Coner Hignett faced off against Frederico Gutzwiller in an interesting match up that has some fight fans talking.
Hignett found himself in a leg lock attempt from his opponent. Hignett was in the standing position and not losing his cool. Instead, the fighter pulled off a move reminiscent of WWE superstar Kurt Angle when he heel hooked the fighter from the standing position.
Watch Hignett get a win over his opponent with the unexpected submission in the video above.
Hignett is now 5-2 in his mixed martial arts career. The fighter earned a submission victory over Jake Bond at Tanko Fighting Championships 4 prior to taking out Frederico Gutzwiller at ACB 75.
