Conor McGregor has been making headlines as of late for an incident at Dublin, Ireland’s Bellator 187. Now a former UFC champion has decided to come forward with their thoughts on the matter.
“Notorious” was cage side for the event in support of his teammate Charlie Ward. Upon seeing Ward drop his opponent in the first round, McGregor climbed over the fence and entered the cage. The fight had not yet officially been stopped, leading to an altercation with referee Marc Goddard.
“Notorious” first had a run-in with the referee at SBG Ireland teammate Artem Lobov’s most recent octagon performance, in which McGregor was issued multiple warnings from Goddard for approaching the cage.
Now former UFC welterweight champion Matt Serra has come forward with his thoughts on the matter. As heard in the video below, Serra said:
“He makes it about himself. He doesn’t make it about his friends. He’s not doing that to support his friends.”
“He makes it about himself. Now I know you want to be out there. But dude, you’re an attention whore. That is not respectful to your fighter.”
