Following Frankie Edgar’s recent pull out due to injury, the UFC has just confirmed a replacement main event between Max Holloway and Jose Aldo.
The two fighters faced each other at UFC 212. It was the last time both men have fought, making this an immediate rematch situation.
UFC 218 goes down on December 2 from the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit Michigan. The night’s main card will air live on pay-per-view.
UFC 218 is stacked and boasts the likes of heavyweight contenders Alistair Overeem vs. Francis Ngannou, former champions Eddie Alvarez vs. Justin Gaethje, along with Henry Cejudo vs. Sergio Pettis and Tecia Torres vs. Michelle Waterson.
Te newly booked Holloway vs. Aldo II bout will serve as the night’s main event. The two will fight for the UFC’s featherweight world title.
