T.J. Dillashaw and Cody Garbrandt met inside the octagon for the co-main event of UFC 217. There, the two mixed martial arts warriors went to battle.
Garbrandt was riding a big win over now former champion Dominick Cruz, making UFC 217 his first attempt at defending his bantamweight title. Facing off against his former teammate, Garbrandt managed to drop Dillashaw in the first round of their heated grudge match. However, Dillashaw came back with a TKO victory in the second round.
Now former UFC competitor Chael Sonnen has come forward to reveal a private text conversation he head with the new champion after his victory over “No Love.” Referencing Dillashaw’s previous criticism’s of his loss to Dominick Cruz, Sonnen messaged the fighter condolences for his “loss” to Garbrandt.
