Fight fans are getting ready to head to Detroit, Michigan, as the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is setting up for another entertaining night of fights. On Saturday, Dec. 2, the mixed martial arts promotion will be hosting UFC 218 inside the Little Caesars Arena and across the globe on live pay-per-view. In the main event, UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway will be looking to make his first title defense as he faces off against Jose Aldo.
Holloway unified his interim title in a battle against Aldo at UFC 212 with a stunning TKO finish over the fighter. The newly crowned champion was then set to face off against Frankie Edgar. However, Edgar has since been pulled from the fight due to an injury.
As a result, Holloway will now be going toe-to-toe with Aldo in a highly anticipated rematch main event for the Detroit crowd. In promotion for the fight, the UFC has offered a new edition of UFC Countdown. Check out “UFC 218 Countdown: Holloway vs Aldo 2” in the video below:
