UFC Announces Set Of New Major Bouts For First Quarter 2018, Will Go Head To Head With Bellator Programming

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has announced a set of major fights for their upcoming UFC schedule for the first quarter of 2018.

In the new year, the world’s largest mixed martial arts promotion will return to PPV action with UFC 220 up first.

Just announced for UFC 220 is the expected light-heavyweight title fight between champion Daniel Cormier and top contender Volkan Oezdemir.

Following up on that announcement is another compelling fight in the form of Hector Lombard vs. CB Dolloway, in the UFC’s middleweight division. The Dolloway vs. Lombard fight will take place at UFC 222.

UFC 220 takes place on January 20, from the TD Garden in Boston. The night’s main card will air live on pay-per-view.

UFC 222 takes place on March 3, from the T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas. The night’s main card will air live on pay-per-view.

Interestingly enough, the UFC has booked the highly-anticipated return of Daniel Cormier on the same night of Bellator’s biggest fight in history between Douglas Lima and Rory MacDonald. It’s an obvious ploy to keep viewership off the world’s #2 MMA promotion.
